Inside Hotboii’s time in jail
HOTBOII, whose real name is Javarri Latre Walker, was arrested on Sunday for violating his probation after being released from jail in September.
Walker was on probation after serving over two years in jail.
The Orlando rapper was arrested in July 2021 as Florida cops investigated gang violence in the area.
He was accused of leading an Orlando-based criminal group called the 438 gang.
Walker faced a RICO charge based on the accusations that he allegedly promoted his gang on Instagram and had a gun in his car while attending a funeral for a friend who was killed.
The rapper’s gun offense was dismissed and after two years detained in jail, his lawyer arranged a plea deal with prosecutors to drop the RICO charge.
In the plea deal, Walker agreed to plead guilty to a count of conspiracy to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity.
He walked out of jail free in September 2024.
Walker was sentenced to time served, 805 days in total, and given five years probation.
