Live as police tape off Huddersfield street and residents told to stay indoors

A Huddersfield street has been taped-off by police with residents reporting that they have been told to stay indoors by officers at the scene.

Bradley Boulevard near Sheepridge is reported to have been placed under a police cordon at around 2.45pm this afternoon (August 12). Locals say that a short time after it was put into place, they were told by officers to stay in their homes while the investigation was underway.

It is reported that police remain at the scene this evening with detectives carrying out work near a vehicle parked on the road. Residents claim to have seen an individual who appeared to be injured in the area but it is not known if that sighting is connected to the operation that has caused the closure.
