These days, she wakes at around 9am before hunkering down for one of her favorite activities: cuddles with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.

Swift and Kelce, both 35, love a lazy morning in bed, not least because, when they’re together, it means they can skip going to the gym.

“They get their own workouts in together just as other young couples in love do,” an impeccably placed source told the Daily Mail. “She finds him the most romantic man she has ever been with, and he is all about making her comfortable.”

In December, Swift wrapped on her mammoth 21-month, 149-show Eras Tour and has since decided to take some well-earned time off. Conveniently, Kelce – who unfortunately lost February’s Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles – is in the football off-season. The new season starts in September.

As such, the pair have been almost inseparable, splitting their time between their various mansions – including Kelce’s ultra-private $6 million Kansas home.

But, even for a celebrity worth a reported $1.6 billion, gap-year life is not as glamourous as you may think. 

As well as those, ahem, extra-curricular activities, theirs seems to involve a lot chilling, baking, songwriting and quality time with Swift’s three beloved pet cats (two Scottish Folds named Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson and a Ragdoll named Benjamin Button). 

When she does get out of bed, the first thing on her to-do list is breakfast.

‘She is big on breakfast which generally consists of yogurt and eggs. She also loves her latte in the morning,’ a source said.

Is this all prepared by a bevy of staff, employed to indulge her every wish? Not so.

‘Taylor does not have a cook, she enjoys eating good food, which she cooks herself,’ the insider said, adding that, although she has a team of stylists, she also ‘really likes to pick out her clothes’ and ‘loves online shopping and loves a good steal.’

She also has no need for a professional masseuse…

‘[Kelce] gives her massages and has had to learn how to not use even half of his strength,’ our source said. ‘But she likes the fact that he is like a big, brawny guy.’

After breakfast, Swift will tend to spend time reading but… ‘not the headlines’.

‘She likes romantic books, novels and she does like to read up on politics but lately tries to avoid it,’ our insider said. ‘She finds it causes her stress that is unnecessary.’

Then, it’s time for work.

‘She is inspired by, literally, everything. Oftentimes throughout her day, she will feel a beat or lyrics and grab her guitar which is always nearby. She has an in-home studio, which she knows all the inner workings of.’

After songwriting, it’s time for more food: ‘She likes to bake… She is always trying new recipes.’

Indeed, fans will know that she often shares her creations, from her famous Chai cookies to iced cinnamon buns, with her 281 million followers on Instagram. 

Even Swift isn’t immune to an iPhone addiction – and each day she will spend a few hours scrolling online.

‘She spends time on her phone on fun apps like “Sing Along” and gets a kick when her music pops up, which it always does,’ the insider said.

In fact, ‘Taylor cannot go a day without organically hearing herself somewhere. She is always humbled by this.’

And then it’s time for dinner.

‘She usually likes to get dolled up and do something with her friends when she is in New York [where she owns a $50 million Tribeca compound]. But lately she has been more of a homebody. Dinner times are her favorite,’ our source said.

With dinner often comes a glass of wine, though she does not ‘drink excessively… if it goes with her meal, great.’

Kelce will often join her. ‘They cook together and Travis thinks she is an amazing cook. She loves romantic dinners where he sets the table and she cooks for him,’ the source explained.

Sometimes they like to go out on the town, but not often – and even less of late, since the drama with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds erupted in their close friendship group.

Lively is embroiled in a messy legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, who she has sued for sexual harassment – and who has, in turn, countersued for defamation.

All parties deny the allegations but a trial date has been set for March 2026, and Swift – who has been named in various legal documents – may be called as a witness.

The whole saga has reportedly left Swift feeling wounded, and has put a strain on her once-close friendship with Lively, whose three daughters are Swift’s godchildren.

‘Travis unfollowed Ryan because he is fed up with the whole drama,’ a source close to Kelce disclosed to the Daily Mail.

All of which has led to a change in pace for Swift. 

‘[She and Kelce] like to go out with friends but as of late, with everything going on, they find themselves wanting to be at home together a lot. They are most comfortable when not swarmed by people and can be themselves,’ our source said.

And so, after dinner, it’s time to relax.

If Kelce isn’t there, which sources say ‘is kind of rare lately’, then Swift ‘winds down like everyone else and curls up in her bed with her big comforters and cats.’

‘She loves to spend time with her cats, which are also the loves of her life,’ our source said. ‘She takes their health and her health very seriously… She falls asleep easily, believe it or not.’

But, the insider said, if Kelce is there, ‘they will watch TV and will talk about sports, which she has gotten into very much since being with him. Though she doesn’t try to get involved in his profession, just as he does not with hers.

‘She is inspired by him but never tries to insert herself into his job. She loves hearing about it and loves when he discusses it. She finds it super sexy.’

And the power couple are able to fully relax together: ‘They wear sweatpants, they are playful. Her cats love Travis.’

And then it’s time for bed.

‘They curl up together and this is one of her favorite times with him. She loves being wrapped up in his arms. They both enjoy their sleep and get a lot of it,’ a source said.

Swift is trying to make the most of her quality time with Kelce before his pre-season starts in the summer.

‘Before she knows it, Travis will be back on the field, and she won’t have this time to be with him on a consistent basis. Right now, she is happy laying low, working on music, hanging out with Travis, hanging out with family, catching up on life since she was on tour for so long,’ another insider said.

But a return to the limelight is never far from Swift’s mind.

‘The next time we will really see her or hear from her might end up being in July,’ this insider said.

And, in true Swift fashion, she’s hoping to re-enter public life with a bang.

‘She’s looking to get back to her epic Fourth of July parties,’ the source said. ‘She is looking to make this year an awesome one.’
