Cornelius police in North Carolina released an age progression photo of Madalina Cojocari, who turned 14 today.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Madalina was last seen at the age of 11 when she disappeared in November 2022, and she is still missing.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children created the image, as police hope to generate new leads.
David Baucom, Chief of the Cornelius Police Department, has expressed unwavering dedication to locating Madalina until the case is resolved, emphasizing that she remains an important member of their community, as reported by Cornelius Today.
Madalina, who attended Bailey Middle School in Cornelius, was last seen getting off her school bus on November 21, 2022.

Madalina is characterized as having dark hair, dark eyes, and an olive complexion. Authorities are appealing to the public for any potential information that may aid in the investigation.
In 2024, Madalina’s stepfather, Christopher Palmiter, was handed a 30-month supervised probation sentence after being found guilty of neglecting to report his stepdaughter missing. Similarly, Madalina’s mother, Diana Cojocari, admitted to the same offense but was released from incarceration after serving the full allotted time.
A $25,000 reward is still being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction in the case.

Anyone with information about Madalina’s whereabouts should contact the Cornelius Police Department at 704-892-7773. To remain anonymous, call North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-896-7867.
