The boyfriend of a 22-year-old Florida woman found naked and dead along Interstate 95 in December has been charged with her murder.
Lorent Junior Pion, 29, was originally accused of failing to stop and aggravated fleeing after informing the police that Nahomi Cittadini leaped out of his moving vehicle and got hit by a passing car, as per WFOR.
Nonetheless, an arrest warrant charging him with second-degree murder several months later revealed that footage from traffic cameras depicted a man hitting a woman repeatedly and pulling her towards the highway.
“The victim managed to crawl back to the emergency shoulder,” stated a worker from the Florida Department of Transportation, who had viewed the footage. “The individual struck the victim and forcibly dragged her back to the far-right lane where she was in the path of oncoming traffic.”
The arrest warrant also says that blood was found both inside and outside Pion’s vehicle.
According to the arrest warrant, Pion was often violent with Cittadini, and a protective order was issued against him after a physical altercation in Miami Beach in August.
