Police in Florida have arrested a man for the death of his wife in January.
Citrus County deputies responded to a call at the residence of Dean and Christine Nelson on January 27. They discovered 47-year-old Christine deceased due to a suspected drug overdose.
An investigation revealed that the methamphetamine consumed by Christine was provided by her husband, Dean Nelson, aged 52. Following the conclusion by the medical examiner that Christine’s cause of death was acute methamphetamine toxicity, Nelson was apprehended this week.
Nelson has been indicted on charges of murder stemming from the unlawful distribution of methamphetamine and is currently in custody without the option for bail. It appears that investigators do not suspect he had any intention to cause his wife’s death.
