A Texas man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home Monday night and shot her and friend to death.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that Yamil Rivera-Perez, aged 34, brought his ex-girlfriend, a 26-year-old mother of two children, to the hospital where she passed away. However, he left a 30-year-old man at their residence who was later pronounced dead, as revealed by KHOU.
Investigators identified the victims as Charity Freeman and Alejandro Suarez, KPRC said.
The sheriff’s office disclosed that Rivera-Perez and Freeman had been involved in an abusive relationship and had recently ended their relationship. Freeman’s family mentioned that she is survived by her two young children.
The killer has been charged with capital murder and was ordered held without bond.
