An investigation is under way in New York after a deceased fetus was found outside on Thursday.
WPIX reported that police sources shared the discovery of a 4-month-old fetus outside a Brooklyn apartment building. A passerby in the area noticed what appeared to be a baby or fetus and promptly alerted 911 for assistance.
News12 reported that eight hours before Thursday’s 911 call, surveillance cameras filmed a man taking a photo in the area and leaving.
Authorities have stated that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the fetus’s death. The length of time the fetus had been outside the apartment building before being found on Thursday remains unknown.
