Cleveland Metroparks Police recover body of man at Wildwood Marina

The victim was identified as 38-year-old Christopher Patton.

CLEVELAND — A body was recovered at Wildwood Marina at around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for Cleveland Metroparks.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim was identified as 38-year-old Christopher Patton of Cleveland.

3News previously reported that Patton was last seen on Sunday, April 6, at around 8:45 a.m. when he left for his regular morning walk on Delavan Avenue.

3News’ Lindsay Buckingham previously spoke with his mother, Leah Copeland, who said it was out of character not to hear from her son.

“Very unusual. He’s a homebody. He likes to stay home. He likes to do research,” said Patton. “The only people that he hangs around with are from his job and his family.”

No additional details on his death have been released.
