According to Susan Trombetti, Travis Kelce’s body language during the press conference signaled that he’s feeling “protective” of Taylor Swift, as well as “excited” and “hopeful” about the future. “As a matchmaker, I actually feel like [Travis] was flirting with the reporters which was a protection of how he feels for [Taylor] in a sense. He smiled and scanned the room from one side to the other. It was a big smile and a big confident glance which says [it] all,” Trombetti explained. The matchmaker went on to add that Travis doesn’t want to give too much away. “He is excited about the relationship and amused by their questions,” she said. “It’s pretty common to be excited like this, but he knows that if he gives anything away, it will be a firestorm so he is quiet.”
NFL fans were highly entertained that the tight end was asked about being “in love,” and social posts ranged from embarrassment on behalf of the reporters to hilarity at his teammates’ reactions. Interest likely won’t die down until we know for sure that Travis and Swift are in love — and even then, who knows? For now, let’s just enjoy the fact Travis seems to bring his best game when Swift is watching. As Jason Kelce pointed out on their “New Heights” podcast, Travis averages 99 yards when his girlfriend is at Arrowhead, compared to his 46.5 yard average when she isn’t there. The numbers don’t lie, y’all.
