Wind Advisory for multiple counties in Northeast Ohio: Power outages possible with gusts up to 50 mph

The National Weather Service in Cleveland says that a few power outages may result because of the strong winds.

Today in Northeast Ohio, expect strong winds reaching up to 50 mph, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Wind Advisory for several counties in the area.

“Near the lakeshore, that’s where we’ll have the strongest winds as they’re unimpeded off the lake,” explains 3News’ Senior Meteorologist Matt Wintz.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland also says that “a few power outages” could happen as a result of the strong winds.

“Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles,” according to the NWS. “Use extra caution.”
