Mickey Rourke to be Removed from Celebrity Big Brother House Due to Bigoted and Threatening Behavior – £500k Appearance Payment at Risk

After a confrontation with Love Island’s Chris Hughes, Mickey Rourke was expelled from the Celebrity Big Brother residence. The disagreement reportedly stemmed from Hughes giving Rourke a disdainful look during a task.

The 72-year-old actor and ex-professional boxer had exhibited challenging behavior from the start. Upon his arrival at the house, he made inappropriate advances towards host AJ Odudu.

Tensions further rose when Rourke directed homophobic remarks at JoJo Siwa, 21, and engaged in offensive conversations that offended Donna Preston, Ella Rae Wise, and Patsy Palmer.

Yesterday, he was asked to leave due to ‘threatening and aggressive behavior’ directed toward Chris during a task yet to air, dubbed the ‘final straw’ for producers.

The final outburst came after Chris threw him the ‘side eye during the task’, which saw the housemates dressed up as pirates, The Sun has reported. 

Mickey then ‘went for the star and the situation unravelled’. A source told the publication: ‘Mickey didn’t like Chris disrespecting him with the side eye and went for him with loads of smack talk.

‘On this occasion it was offensive, threatening and aggressive. However it didn’t get physical and security nor producers did not need to intervene.

‘Mickey was called to the diary room and in discussion about his ongoing bad behaviour, he agreed to leave.’ 

There was no physical altercation but a spokesperson for the show said: ‘Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.’

Fans of the show have been speculating over what may have taken place after tuning into the live stream of the house. 

One viewer speculated on X: ‘Earlier on the stream Danny Beard jokingly squared up to Chris (there was no audio but it was obvious he wasn’t doing it in a mean way) so maybe he was mocking Mickey? 

‘I can’t wait for tomorrows episode to find out what actually happened.’

Celebrities are awarded their full agreed payment even if they are evicted first from the show like Michael Fabricant on Friday night.

However, they may not receive their impressive wages if they quit the show themselves or are asked to leave.

It was previously reported by The Express that despite him being paid £500,000 for his stint in the house, he is set to lose nearly half his earnings in tax anyway. 

Despite working in the UK, US citizens must pay tax on earnings even if it’s earned abroad.

Therefore, the publication reported that he could lose up to £213,900 ($276,000) in taxes after he returns home to America.

And back in 2016 Christopher Biggins was asked to leave the show and was reportedly then only paid half of his £100,000 fee. He used a Nazi ‘joke’ on the show which he later apologised for. 

A source said at the time: ‘The production company were under no breach of contract by not honouring his full fee.’

Hollywood actor Mickey has left the house after ‘further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour’ towards Chris.

The Love Island star, 32, had comforted former JoJo, 21, in Wednesday’s episode after Mickey spoke about her sexuality and said he would ‘vote the lesbian out real quick’. 

This came as earlier on Saturday MailOnline reported that Celebrity Big Brother fans were convinced Mickey was planning to quit the show after spotting one major clue.

During Friday evening’s episode former Tory MP Michael became the first housemate to be evicted after receiving the most nominations from his fellow contestants.

After the result was announced, the politician said his goodbyes before exiting to a mix of boos and cheers, where he was greeted by hosts AJ Odudu, 37, and Will Best, 40. 

However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed Mickey, 72, seemingly attempting to make a sly exit alongside him.

Convinced the Hollywood star is desperate to leave, fans quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their suspicions.

One wrote: ‘Mickey wants out so bad, he keeps saying how he wants to leave first and when that guy was kicked he pretended to leave with him.’

However those watching slammed the result, branding Mickey a ‘homophobe’ after he left dancer JoJo, 21, in tears after he insinuated he would be able to ‘make her straight’ during their time in the house and branded her a ‘f*g’. 

Mickey asked Chris if everyone had to vote one another out of the house as the Wrestler star confessed: ‘I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.’

JoJo overheard as she hit back: ‘That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.’ 

Defending JoJo, Chris interjected, ‘You can’t do that Mickey,’ yet the star was undeterred as he added: ‘I need a f*g’ before gesturing to JoJo and adding: ‘I’m not talking to you.’

Viewers demanded ‘vile’ Mickey be removed from the house after his comments towards JoJo. 

But JoJo has since been hailed ‘the people’s princess’ by viewers after how she handled the horrific situation, which saw Mickey make repeated homophobic and misogynistic comments towards her. 

They wrote: ‘Jojo Siwa is really great, isn’t she? A mature, smart, young woman,’;

‘The way jojo was nothing but kind to that man when she had every opportunity to tell him to shut the f*** up,’

‘Jojo has more patience than me because if that old man started brushing his teeth in the kitchen sink in front of me i would’ve lost it,’;

‘Oh i’ve seen enough jojo and chris final two,’; ‘Jojo is the people’s princess i fear,’; 

‘Jojo handled that situation with mickey SO well,’; ‘JoJo is my early winner after tonight. She handled everything so well,’;

‘Jojo’s face when Mickey was being a homophobic rat to her broke my heart. She handled herself so well when she’d be so justified in losing her shit, I’m rooting for her. I hope she kicks him out,’;

”Jojo siwa could win this’ was on nobodies bingo card, but here we are, and I for one, couldn’t be happier that she is getting to show herself!’

Meanwhile, Mickey sparked further backlash earlier in Friday’s episode after a blunt comment left EastEnders star Patsy Palmer in tears.

The housemates were gathered around the kitchen table enjoying lunch prepared by the actress, 52, when the actor criticised her cooking.

He swiped: ‘What do you know, you can’t cook.’

While she initially laughed it off, Patsy soon headed to the diary room to let off some steam to Big Brother.

‘Sorry,’ she said before breaking down into tears. ‘I tried to talk that one out but it didn’t really work. I feel like I let myself down there and I don’t want my reactions to be like that.

‘I always want my kids to always stand up for themselves. Maybe it was just a joke – maybe I need to look at it like that.’

‘I need to try to rise above it. It doesn’t mean I have to like him,’ she added.

Mickey also ruffled feathers in the house after he warned TOWIE’s Ella Rae Wise that she will be ‘an old bag’ one day. 

Looking as fashionable as ever in pink pyjamas, slippers and a fluffy dressing gown, Ella revealed a sweet confession to Mickey and told him she hopes to be ‘beautiful forever’.

Mickey wasted no time popping her bubble in an overly harsh reality check and shot her down.

Mickey asked Ella: ‘What are you doing, doll? Do you want to look beautiful forever?’ to which Ella replied: ‘Taking my make-up off.’

Repeating his question, Mickey said again: ‘Do you want to look beautiful forever?’ prompting Ella to giggle as she told him: ‘Yes, of course. I’ll try, put it that way.’

But Mickey said: ‘Everybody tries for a long time. And then what you do, you just give up. People try for a long time.’

Looking in the mirror, Ella sighed: ‘I hope to be beautiful forever.’

In an attempt to make the blow less harsh but still give his opinion, he said: ‘At least you’ll be beautiful inside, though.

‘You know, when you’re an old bag… that’s just around the corner for all of us.’

Ella replied: ‘At least I’ll have a beautiful heart…’
