A 39-year-old Missouri man has been arrested and charged with raping a 5-year-old girl.
Chase Reed is in the Newton County jail awaiting arraignement on charges of statutory sodomy and statutory rape, KSNF reported.
According to court documents, the youngster was questioned at the Children’s Center and recounted to authorities that Reed had touched her in inappropriate areas and caused her harm while sexually assaulting her on multiple occasions.
She disclosed that Reed had used both his fingers and genitals during the attacks, and had whispered to her throughout the assaults. Furthermore, she stated that he would inquire if she was experiencing pleasure while he was raping her.
KSNF did not say how police learned of the allegations.
Reed has denied the accusations and is being held without bond.
