‘He’s a monster:’ Model’s mom breaks down outside court and demands death penalty for her Hollywood producer ‘killer’

Christy Giles’ mother desires the death penalty for the Hollywood producer accused of murdering her daughter, who was one of the women allegedly drugged and abandoned outside Los Angeles hospitals.

Giles, 24, and architect Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, died after a night out in November 2021.

The accused, David Pearce, aged 43, attended a gathering with the women and other companions on the fateful night and has entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charges.

His former roommate, Brandt Osborn, has also pleaded not guilty to two charges of accessory after the fact.

Additionally, Pearce is confronted with multiple other charges unrelated to the murders, including accusations of rape and sexual assault involving seven women he encountered from 2007 to 2020.

Giles’ mom, Dusty, broke down outside court during their joint trial this month after hearing disturbing testimony from the women.

Speaking exclusively to The U.S. Sun, she admitted being at the court hearings was “surreal” having waited months to travel from Alabama to Los Angeles.

“My anxiety and everything. I’m like a cat with a nervous, swinging tail under a rock,” she said.

Dusty said she is “disgusted” by both Pearce and Osborn, who have not made eye contact with Giles’ family during the trial.

Asked what result she hopes for, she said, “Justice for all involved, not just for my Christy, for all of them.”

As a parent, you feel guilty,”

Referring to Pearce being possibly convicted, she added, “Life, death penalty he needs. He’s a monster. He doesn’t need to have bail bonds or up for parole or anything.”

Capital punishment is not allowed to be carried out in California due to a standing federal court order against the practice in 2006 and a later moratorium on executions ordered by Governor Gavin Newsom.

Dusty also believes defendant Osborn knew a lot more than he’s letting on about the night in question after his defense attorney claimed he was asleep as they partied back at the men’s apartment.

“As a parent, you feel guilty,” she said of her daughter’s death, before trailing off as she began to break down.

“But I know how some of those women have to feel that were attacked before and not taken seriously, and I’m glad they’re finally getting their day in court,” she said.

She added it was “very hard” to hear of the women’s alleged experiences, claiming, “I know that’s what my daughter faced.”

Distraught dad demands life sentence for Hollywood producer David Pearce

Luis Cabrales Rivera, the father of Cabrales-Arzola, previously spoke to The U.S. Sun from his home in Mexico about the long-awaited day of justice for his daughter.

“This is all too difficult for me to try to remember till this day,” Rivera told The U.S. Sun in Spanish.

“I know this week is the start of the trial, and the only thing I can tell you is I hope justice is served and this f**ker pays for what he did.

“Like every parent who loses a child, we’re never prepared to lose a child.

“Most of us are prepared to lose a sibling, your grandparents, your own parents, but never a child.

“It’s a different kind of pain to lose a child, especially in that way, so tragic. She was my baby.”

The devastated father raced to Los Angeles from Monterrey, Mexico, the capital of the border northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León, after learning his 26-year-old daughter was in a medically induced coma.

In the years since his daughter’s murder, Cabrales-Arzola’s father has tried to remain resilient and allow her to rest in peace.

“In reality, we try to rebuild our lives and be strong,” Rivera told The U.S Sun.

“I promised myself to remain strong for her, whether my daughter, my Hildi, is here or not.

“I try not to worry her so much by continuing to mourn her and being sad all the time because if I continue, I’m probably not allowing her to rest in peace.

“Rivera said he can’t gather the strength to be present during the trial and has chosen to remain in Mexico to protect his mental health

.”I, voluntarily, decided to avoid the pain, to avoid reliving the moment and letting it affect my health, I decided not to go,” the grieving father said.

“I’ll be up to date with what happens at the trial, but I won’t be there physically.

“To be honest, it’s very, very difficult to relive all that.”If I do, if I think about it, I’ll fall back into depression, being without comfort, reopen wounds.

“The pain of losing a child never heals completely, but now I’ll leave justice up to the court and pray the full might of the law falls on this person and hope he never gets out of jail for everything he did to my daughter and her friend.”

Giles and Cabrales-Arzol had been to a warehouse party in Los Angeles on November 12, 2021, according to the indictment.

They decided to go back to Pearce and Osborn’s apartment with another man but ordered an Uber to leave after texting each other about feeling uncomfortable.

Although the Uber arrived, they never got in it, and it eventually drove off.

DATE-RAPE DRUG

Giles, 24, was already dead when she was later found outside Southern California Hospital in Culver City, authorities say.

Cabrales-Arzol, 26, was in critical condition when she was discovered outside Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Hospital just hours after Giles was dropped off.

Her heartbroken family later made the difficult decision to take her off life support.

Toxicology reports found multiple drugs present in both victims’ systems.

Giles died of a mixture of cocaine, fentanyl, gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (date-rape drug GHB) and ketamine.

Meanwhile, Cabrales-Arzol’s death was a result of multiple organ failure, as well as drug intoxication.

She had cocaine, MDMA, and “probable other undetermined” drugs in her system, the medical examiner-coroner ruled.

Video footage shown during the trial featured two masked men in a black Toyota Prius without license plates dumping the women’s limp bodies at the hospitals.

While prosecutors told jurors the friends died because of drugs Pearce gave them, his defense attorney, Jeff Voll, argued that the women were responsible for their own deaths.

He claimed they had been taking drugs they had brought with them to the party.

“The evidence will show that these young ladies unfortunately ingested fentanyl, and they died,” he said in court on January 9.

“But not at the hands of Mr. Osborn or Mr. Pearce.”

‘DEAD GIRLS DON’T TALK’

Photographer Michael Ansbach was at the apartment but was not charged.

He claimed Pearce gave him and the two women drinks and cocaine laced with fentanyl.

Ansbach, who took the stand as a witness during the trial, said he lost count of how many times he vomited after believing he was spiked, the Los Angeles Times reported.

He noticed neither woman was moving and that Giles “didn’t appear to be alive,” insisting he begged Pearce to get them medical assistance but was ignored.

Ansbach claimed Pearce told him, “Dead girls don’t talk.”

He told the court, “It’s a phrase that echoes in my nightmares and disturbs me.”

The two women were eventually taken to separate medical facilities nearly 12 hours later.

Defense attorneys claimed Ansbach’s story changed after his own arrest in connection with the deaths in December 2021.

He was never charged and later provided a statement through an attorney implicating the other men, but prosecutors did not offer him immunity in exchange for his testimony.

Ansbach reportedly told the court he was “scared” and didn’t have a lawyer when he was taken into custody, so he denied seeing the girls take drugs.

The trial is still ongoing and is expected to continue again next week.
