A MUM and her four daughters have been found dead inside a hotel room.
Police fear they were murdered by her son on New Year’s Eve in Lucknow, India.
Cops found five bodies in a hotel room and say their clothes were soaked in blood.
A 24-year-old man named only as Arshad has been arrested in connection with the murders.
His dad Badar – who remains on the run – is also suspected by police.
The family had travelled to the city of Lucknow from Agra to ring in 2025.
But Arshad allegedly then killed his mum and four sisters at their hotel after a heated argument.
The victims have been named as Alia, nine, Alshia, 19, Aksa, 16, Rahmeen 18, and their mum Asma.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Raveena Tyagi said: “The accused, identified as Arshad allegedly killed five members of his own family.
“Following the gruesome act, the local police promptly apprehended the accused from the crime scene.”
Forensic officers are now combing the scene to collect evidence.
Babloo Kumar, the Joint Commissioner of Police, also mentioned that an investigation is underway with the hotel staff in the vicinity, and any discoveries will be promptly communicated to the press.
