California Mom Charged With Suffocating 11-Year-Old Son

A California woman has been charged with killing her 11-year-old son at an RV park in Sutter County.

The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at Lovey’s Landing around 10 a.m. on Sunday regarding a woman who was under the influence of drugs and causing a disturbance. KOVR reported that upon arrival, authorities discovered a young boy and a dog in a trailer.

Megan Dixon, 44, was charged with child endangerment and homicide.

Investigators said the boy had been suffocated, and they believe he had been dead for several days before he was found.

Dixon’s bail was set at $1 million.
