After 18 days of searching, police have found 14-year-old New York girl Emmarae Gervasi safe.
As previously mentioned by CrimeOnline, the disappearance of Emmarae sparked widespread concern and prompted significant efforts from the community, including her parents, who were determined to raise awareness after she went missing on December 9th.
Her father, Frank, who has legal custody of her, took to Facebook to share the news of her being found, saying, “I found emma !!! Please give me some time and then I will address the public in a few thanks … Prayers answered.”
According to Greater Long Island, Emmarae was last seen leaving her home barefoot and without a jacket. Surveillance footage revealed that she had been knocking on doors at a Bohemia motel in the early hours of December 10 before disappearing once again.
The details of her disappearance remain unclear. No official details have been released by law enforcement, bur her mother said she was found on a boat in a marina in West Islip.
