Cleveland Cavaliers to host 'Bow Tie Night' in honor of Nick Gilbert on March 2: How to buy tickets

The 2025 celebration will honor the life, legacy and impact of Nick Gilbert with a commemorative bobblehead.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced that they will hold their third annual “Bow Tie Night” in honor of Nick Gilbert on March 2.

The 2025 celebration is dedicated to honoring Nick Gilbert’s life, legacy, and the impact he had on others, especially those affected by Neurofibromatosis. This event will feature a commemorative bobblehead of Nick and special recognitions for individuals and families impacted by the condition.

Nick Gilbert, the son of Cavaliers Chairman Dan Gilbert, passed away in May 2023 due to complications of Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1).

Working alongside The Gilly Project and NF Forward, which is a non-profit founded by the Gilbert family to support NF research, the Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting the 2025 Bow Tie Night. This event aims to raise awareness about Neurofibromatosis and showcase the strength and courage of those in the NF community.

The event will take during the Cavs game against the Portland Trail Blazers at Rocket Mortgage FiledHouse. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Tickets for the game can be purchased HERE.

Attendees of the 2025 Bow Tie Night will have the opportunity to purchase Bow Tie Night apparel and merchandise, including T-shirts, hoodies, lapel pins, and hat patches. These items will be available for sale at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and online at Cavs.com/Shop.

The bow tie symbol will also appear in player introductions, including the final slate of the opening video. In-arena hosts, mascots and talent will wear bow ties and recognize the night through their presentations. The emblem will also be displayed throughout Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
