An AMBER Alert remains in place for a missing Wisconsin teen, allegedly abducted by the 40-year-okd father of her unborn child.
According to Police Chief John Kreuzinger, leads on missing Sophia Franklin have dwindled, but she is still missing. Kreuzinger mentioned that Franklin has not been in contact with anyone, including her family members who are pleading for her safe return. He called upon 40-year-old Gary Day to surrender himself.
An AMBER Alert has been issued for Franklin in Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Missouri. Arkansas issued the alert on February 6 for Day, who is a native of the state, while Wisconsin issued the alert for Sophia Franklin on February 3. Franklin is currently three months pregnant.
“This individual is a predator,” stated Sheriff John Staley of Lonoke County, Arkansas, in an interview with WISN 12 News on Wednesday. Staley added, “We must find a way to hold him accountable.”
Prosecutors charged Day, of Cabot, Arkansas, with four felonies related to Sophia’s disappearance, including two counts of child abduction and two counts of child enticement
According to the alert and a criminal complaint filed in Dodge County, Sophia is three months pregnant, and Day is the father.
Arkansas court records show that Day is on probation for child endangerment and has a history of harming children.
Franklin is described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs around 186 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.
Police described Day as a white male, standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds. He has blonde or balding hair and green eyes
