The parents of a 6-week-old eastern Kentucky boy found dead at his home have been arrested more than a year after the infant’s death.
Carrie Hall, aged 25, and Jacob Hall, aged 36, were arrested individually on Friday for murder and criminal abuse charges related to the tragic death of Hartley Hall. The baby was discovered deceased at a residence in Wurtland on November 29, 2023, as reported by WOWK.
The child’s cause of death has not been released.
Carrie Hall was arrested in Greenup County and is being held in the jail there on a $200,000 cash bond. Jackbo Hall was arrested about two hours later in nearby Boyd County, where he is being held on a $20,000 cash bond. He is expected to be brought to Greenup County to face the charges.
The arrests followed an indictment by a Greenup County grand jury. Investigators told WSAZ that a lack of cooperation from family members delayed the investigation an subsequent arrests.
