A 39-year-old New Jersey mother of four was found dead in a dumpster in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The Lehigh County Coroner identified the body on Monday as Lucrecia Jadan Sumba and said she died from “sharp force injuries.”
A body was discovered in a dumpster in Coopersburg borough, according to a report by WFMZ. The police had not disclosed the factors that led them to the location. Coopersburg is situated approximately 80 miles away from Elizabeth Township in New Jersey, where Sumba resided.
Reports from local news referenced a GoFundMe page that stated Sumba, who relocated to the United States from Ecuador in 2021, failed to show up for work at a nail salon on January 9, prompting her family to report her as missing.
Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan mentioned in a statement, “This investigation is being handled by an agency from another state. There is no danger to the public. As far as we know, the individual of interest in this case has been taken into custody.”
New Jersey officials have not responded to requests for comment or information about the reported suspect.
