By the time he reaches 40, the comedian is determined to finish the tattoo removal process, signaling a fresh beginning. Davidson has already put in around $200,000 for the removal procedures and has openly shared how excruciating they can be.
Removing a tattoo requires several sessions, with black-and-white designs being easier to eliminate than colored ones.
Each session consists of burning off a layer of skin, which then requires six to eight weeks to heal while being careful to avoid sunlight. Despite the discomfort, Davidson views this as an opportunity to let go of some of the regrets associated with his tattoos.
His decision to erase his tattoos was partly influenced by his desire for healthier ways to cope following his time in rehab in 2020. Additionally, he has noted that his numerous tattoos posed a challenge in pursuing acting roles as it took significant effort to cover them up for movie roles.
Recently, he appeared in a shirtless campaign for Reformation, showcasing his progress toward becoming ink-free—a clear sign of his commitment to change and personal growth.
