An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a Texas man, who was gunned down while mowing his lawn.
According to a report by 12 News Now, Brian Lewis, aged 51, was shot while he was mowing his yard on Saturday, just after 1:30 p.m. The incident took place in the 1900 block of Delaware Street in Beaumont. Upon arrival at the scene, officers from the Beaumont Police Department discovered Lewis lying unresponsive on his front yard.
EMS pronounced Lewis dead at the scene.
As per a neighbor who spoke to the police, they saw Lewis mowing the yard when an individual riding a motorcycle approached, shot Lewis, and then quickly fled the scene. The suspect was reported to have driven away towards the west direction on Delaware Street.
The police believe the driver is Larry Fitzgerald Williams, 54. An arrest warrant has been issued for Williams.
