Police in Missouri say a.missing 32-year-old Quincy woman is likely dead, following the death of her husband.
According to a previous report by CrineOnline, Britney Kelly was officially declared missing to the Quincy Police Department earlier this month after her last known contact on December 14 in St. Charles, where she was supposedly in the company of her husband, Chadwick Kelly.
Tragically, Chadwick was involved in a fatal shootout with law enforcement following a confrontation in Labelle on December 20. During the incident, he held another woman hostage before attempting to flee while armed.
The state agency stated, “While negotiations were ongoing, Kelly discharged multiple rounds from inside the premises, aimed at officers. Subsequently, Kelly fled from the scene carrying a firearm, prompting members of the Patrol to use their firearms.”
The Lewis County Coroner arrived on the scene and pronounced Kelly dead
WLDS reports that St. Charles investigators gathered evidence suggesting that Britney Kelly is deceased. The case has been labeled an homicide and her husband is considered a suspect. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
Police are requesting information from anyone who may have spotted a 2020 Audi III with Illinois license plates ET 25911, between December 18 and December 20.
