Nestle is bringing back the discontinued coffee creme flavour this Christmas – after a 20 year manufacturing hiatus. Sweet-toothed fans cannot wait to get their hands on the dark chocolate sweet which contains a coffee fondant inside.
The fan favourite chocolate comes in a brown wrapper and looks similar to the strawberry creme. But, sadly, the treat won’t be found in Quality Street tubs and will only be available inside the Quality Street festive cracker and advent calendar.
The festive cracker will be on sale for £6 and the advent calendar will be available for £10. Both products will be available from September 20 and can be purchased from Waitrose and John Lewis, reports The Express.
Quality Street took to social media to share the news with fans. The post reads: “You asked, we listened. We’re bringing back Coffee creme as a limited edition for Christmas 2023!
“Available in selected @JohnLewisRetail and @waitrose stores later this month. Keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks for details on how to get your hands on it.” While coffee creme hasn’t featured in a Quality Street tub since the nineties, the flavour certainly hasn’t been forgotten.
Many took to social media to hail the good news. Alison Baker replied: “Can’t wait, will be scouring @JohnLewisRetail and @waitrose.” Julie added: “so happy”. Jac Graham replied: “My FAVE! These will be back on my shopping list!”
Ken Anderson posted: “Great News. Quality Street is bringing back Coffee Cream flavour. That’ll Dee…I hear you think.” Diana McCarthy opined: “At last, some good news! Quality Street is bringing back the coffee creme.”
