Republicans reveal video ‘evidence’ of Biden’s cognitive decline as they name-and-shame Democrats who ‘buried’ red flags

REPUBLICANS are sharing video evidence of Biden’s cognitive decline over his presidency in an ongoing congressional hearing.

Senate Republicans are conducting a hearing to present evidence that suggests the Democratic Party attempted to hide former President Joe Biden’s declining physical and mental health.

Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn and Missouri Republican Senator Eric Schmitt are co-chairs of the Senate Judiciary Hearing.

This inquiry aims to uncover the events that took place during Biden’s presidency and understand why no actions were taken to invoke the constitutional authority to remove him from his position.

During the hearing, the Republicans called the Democratic Party’s alleged cover-up “The Great Deception.”

Republican senators claimed the Democrats were conspiring to deceive Americans into believing Biden was mentally fit to serve.

Senators played video evidence of Biden’s mental slips, starting with the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

In the clip, Biden stumbles over his words while discussing the pandemic and Medicare.

“Look, if we finally beat Medicare,” Biden said during the debate.

In another clip from the debate, Biden looks lost as he fumbles his words a second time.

The short video package ends with the words “The Biden Cover-Up” appearing on the screen.

“President Biden’s decline did not suddenly begin in June 2024,” a spokesperson said during the hearing.

“It was a persistent and obvious truth that was obvious for years to anyone who was willing to see it.”

Early on in the meeting, the Republicans showed a timeline of the presidents, but put a photo of silhouettes in the place of where Biden would be.

Under the photo, the Republicans wrote “Liberal Staffers.”

Before the hearing began, Cornyn stated that it had been clear “for several months” that “the president was clearly not capable of fulfilling his duties,” as reported by Fox News.

“Whoever happened to be making those decisions and carrying out the duties of the Office of President was not somebody who was authorized by the Constitution or by a vote of the American people.”

The hearing, dubbed Unfit to Serve: How the Biden Cover-Up Endangered America and Undermined the Constitution, includes several witnesses who served during President Trump’s first term as well as the Bush and Regan terms.

Timeline of Biden’s failed re-election bid

President Joe Biden endured weeks of calls to step aside before he announced on July 21 that he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race. Here are key developments leading up to his decision.

June 27: Biden’s disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump sparks calls for him to step aside. His voice was raspy and he trailed off several times after having already endured questions about his age and mental capacity following a series of blunders at public events.

July 2: Polls after the debate indicate that Trump is pulling ahead. Texas Representative Lloyd Doggett was the first Democratic congressman to publicly urge Biden to drop his bid for re-election, and big Democratic donors issued the same call a day later.

July 5: Biden does a live TV interview with George Stephanopoulos where he tries to quell fears about his age and debate performance. He called the debate “bad night” and said he was under the weather and “exhausted.”

July 10: Vermont Senator Peter Welch becomes the first senator to call for Biden to drop out.

July 11: Biden refers to Ukrainian President Zelensky as President Putin at a NATO event.

July 13: Trump is shot at a campaign rally by a wannabe assassin. His popularity and favorability rating soared after he was seen bloodied on stage but walked off with a fist in the air, telling the crowd to “fight!”

July 17: California Representative Adam Schiff and a series of other Democrats call for Biden to step aside. Even former President Barack Obama tells allies that Biden’s path to victory has “greatly diminished.” Biden tests positive for Covid-19 hours after saying he would consider ending his bid if he were diagnosed with “some medical issue.”

July 19: Biden insists he will continue campaigning in his first statement since Obama’s U-turn, despite reports that he would decide to drop out by the weekend.

July 21: Just before 2 pm, Biden announces he is stepping aside in the 2024 election and endorses Vice President Kamala Harris.

It comes after the release of CNN host Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson’s book Original Sin, which alleged that the White House was well aware of Biden’s mental state.

Democratic leaders, however, deny these allegations and oppose the hearing.

“We have so many important topics to consider, and this is a totally political undertaking by several of my colleagues,” Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin said.

“It is a waste of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s time.”
