Sean “Diddy” Combs is in the spotlight, not for his legal troubles, but because an iconic costume he wore in the 2001 film “Monster’s Ball” is going up for auction in Hollywood. The music mogul’s costume from the Oscar-winning movie is expected to attract significant attention when the bidding kicks off on June 7.
A former assistant to Sean “Diddy” Combs, identified as Mia, made accusations of multiple instances of alleged sexual assault against Diddy. During her testimony under a pseudonym, Mia faced a lengthy and sometimes tense cross-examination by one of Combs’ defense attorneys, Brian Steel. Despite the vigorous questioning from Comb’s legal team, Mia remained composed as she refuted the claims that she had fabricated stories of abuse. Steel confronted Mia about her social media posts that praised Diddy and texts that revealed her emotional distress when her employment was terminated.
Mia revealed that being part of Combs’s inner circle was her entire world for eight years, round the clock. When asked why she exhibited positive behavior towards someone who allegedly mistreated her, Mia answered Steel by referring him to her therapist. She characterized Combs as a domineering employer who allegedly subjected her to repeated assaults throughout her time working for him.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump wouldn’t rule out a pardon for Combs, when asked about the possibility Friday during a White House presser. Rapper 50 Cent weighs in, 50 and the disgraced music mogul have been in a longstanding feud, and the pairs drama has intensified since Diddy’s legal woos came to light.
Prosecutors were able to call one additional witness before jury was sent home: Sylvia Oken, a custodian for the Beverly Hills Hotel. Before leaving the stand, Oken describes two cleaning fees on Combs’s hotel account, including one for “oil damage.”
