When she failed to return home, her panicked parents alerted authorities.
Reports from BFMTV stated that she was wearing leggings and a hat when she was last spotted at a pedestrian crossing, with CCTV footage indicating that she was heading towards a park.
Tragically, the hopes of finding Louise safe and sound were shattered when authorities found her lifeless body in the Parc des Templiers woodlands the following morning, which was located less than a mile away from her school.
A large-scale police operation was launched, involving specialist search dogs, drones, and a helicopter.
Public prosecutor Grégoire Dulin confirmed “an investigation into the murder of a minor” has been opened and is being handled by the Versailles organised and specialised crime division.
According to BFMTV, Louise had suffered “numerous” stab wounds.
Prosecutors added that there wasn’t evidence to suggest there was sexual violence.
An autopsy into the causes of the schoolgirl’s death was carried out on Saturday afternoon.
Now “traumatised” locals have spoken out about the heinous murder of the young girl in the “quiet” Essonne neighbourhood.
Speaking to Le Parisien, one local father said while clenching his fists: “I’m furious – I’m horrified by what I heard.
“These are our neighbours, we can’t even imagine their pain.
“We have children too. The neighbourhood is dead, we’re traumatised.”
