Madonna has shared a rare family portrait featuring herself and her six children, as well as her father, Silvio Anthony “Tony” Ciccone, 93.
Her official Instagram account shared a Thanksgiving post on Monday, revealing heartfelt sentiments about her late brother, Christopher Ciccone, who passed away at 63 years old in October.
Madge, 66, posed with her father and children;Â Â Lourdes, 28, Rocco, 24, David, 19, Mercy, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 12.Â
In her post, the Material Girl spoke of her pain watching her father Tony cry at his son Christopher’s funeral.
His death came after her stepmother, Tony’s wife Joan Clare Ciccone, died on September 24 after a brief but aggressive battle with cancer.Â

She remembered a poignant moment, stating, “My father has endured with Dignity. Watching him cry in the cemetery when we buried my brother Christopher – right after he lost his wife. Was a moment I will never forget.”

The legendary singer began her post writing: ‘We are born into families and we create our own.
‘As time goes by I am more and more appreciative of these microcosms of life that Dance around me and teach me lessons every day.’
Madonna’s brother Christopher died following a battle with pancreatic cancer, his publicist confirmed to DailyMail.com at the time.Â
Christopher passed away peacefully on October 4 surrounded by his husband Ray Thacker and their loved ones at his home in Michigan.Â
Christopher’s representative mentioned, “Christopher’s loving spouse stood by his side devotedly during the last stages of the cancer that ultimately took his life.”

Christopher worked as a designer, artist and director throughout his career organizing concert tours, music videos, and film, to commercial, residential interior and furniture design.
