Authorities have just given the public an update on Sebastian Rogers after an extended period of silence. This particular case has garnered a lot of interest, with many people anxiously anticipating the most recent news.
Sebastian turned 16 over the weekend, nearly 10 months after his disappearance, with the Amber Alert still active.
“It’s not a cold case. It is an active and ongoing investigation,” Sumner County Sheriff Eric Craddock told News Channel 5.
Craddock has been actively involved in the case since Sebastian vanished from his Hendersonville home on February 26 last year.
Investigators have been following up on numerous leads since Sebastian went missing, but as of now, there have been no confirmed sightings. Consequently, baseless rumors from questionable sources are continuing to circulate on the internet.
“It’s easy to make those comments on social media,” Sheriff Craddock stated.
The sheriff emphasized the importance of sticking to the facts for investigators, focusing on obtaining concrete evidence and reliable leads. Despite the lack of frequent official updates lately, it was confirmed that the team convenes weekly to assess the progress of the case.
“I’ve been transparent. There is some information that can’t be released because it could be prejudicial to the case and a successful resolution is my ultimate goal.”
Sebastian is described as a white male who stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs between 106 to 108 pounds. He has dirty blond hair and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. His flashlight keychain is unaccounted for.
Anyone with information regarding Rogers’ whereabouts should call the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office at 615-451-3838 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
