A man passed away after plunging 100 feet to his death as he attempted to take a selfie from a hotel rooftop in the Canary Islands.
During the early hours of Sunday morning, the 48-year-old found himself on the eighth floor just before the tragic accident occurred.

Authorities have revealed that the individual, a resident of the Canary Islands, had scaled the railing of a rooftop terrace belonging to an apartment to capture the photograph.
He then became unstable and fell from the roof to the promenade below at around 1.30am.
While emergency services rushed to the scene, he was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
He was with a friend at the time of the horrifying accident.
It happened in the La Puntilla area of Las Canteras.
The tragic incident comes as authorities urge people not to put themselves in harm’s way to take pictures.
