New Kohberger evidence reveals what Idaho roommates saw the night of the murders.
Court documents reveal that one of the roommates who survived, known as “D.M.” (Dylan Mortensen), noticed one of the victims on the floor many hours before finally deciding to call 911.
During the night of the tragic events, at approximately 4 a.m., D.M. spotted an individual wearing all black clothing and a ski mask. She reached out to her roommates via calls and texts, receiving a reply only from “B.F.” (Bethany Funke), instructing her to seek shelter in her bedroom. While Mortensen made her way towards Funke’s room, she purportedly witnessed Xana Kernodle lying on the bedroom floor, positioned with her head near the wall and feet pointing towards the door. The two survivors continued to communicate via text messages throughout the night.
Bryan Kohberger stands accused of the murder of University of Idaho students Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, which took place at a residence off-campus in Moscow, Idaho, on November 13, 2022.
