A 24-year-old Texas man has been charged with choking his 7-year-old brother to death when an argument turned violent.
According to ValleyCentral.com, Brandon Garza is accused of repeatedly hitting his younger brother in the face and then slamming him to the ground. Garza allegedly proceeded to restrain his brother and strangle him until he lost consciousness.
Police were called to the scene after 3 a.m. on Thursday and found Garza with a blood stain on his shirt and forehead.
First responders attempted to save the boy, and he was taken to McAllen Medical Hospital, where he died.
Garza has been charged with capital murder and ordered held on a $2 million bond.
