A SERIES of bright lights that appeared to hover near the Capitol has left viewers wondering if humans are not alone in the universe.
The viral footage has fascinated those who believe in the mystery of UFOs.
And it was taken just weeks after a landmark hearing was held in Congress.
Not too long ago, UFOs were considered a fringe topic in politics and were often connected to conspiracy theories. However, today, they are increasingly being viewed through the lens of national security concerns.
Believers have claimed they’ve seen orb-like shapes in the sky in a string of alleged sightings across the US.
Footage captured earlier this week showed four bright lights near the Capitol.
The glowing lights were spaced apart from each other and seemed to be blinking.
Later on in the video, another bright light appeared, and it was red.
The video sparked fascination and prompted social media users to share their theories.
“Something is going down,” one person said.
They claimed the lights were emanating from an unknown source.
Another claimed the blinking nature of the lights provided clues.
“The winking in and out of existence is the tell-tale sign it’s the real deal,” they claimed.
The video sparked concern among some viewers, who suddenly started praying to God.
Some viewers touted baseless theories that the lights are a sign the world is teetering on the edge of a global conflict.
Others admitted the thought something else may be in the cosmos made them feel “queasy.”

The mystery of UFOs
FOR decades, UFOs and aliens were considered to be make belief things created by people in tinfoil hats but they are now considered a threat to national security.
Long gone are those who claim conspiracy theories are all false, as the federal government is probing alleged sightings.
As more and more credible witnesses continue to come forward to tell their extraordinary stories publicly.
The 2010s saw decades of stigmas around extraterrestrial life start to break down as politicians made UFO sightings a matter of national security.
Across the world, governments have also unveiled some spooky truths with some even showcasing “dead alien corpses” on display for Congress.
Researchers recently verified the legitimacy of a set of three-fingered mummies as potential evidence of “non-human” life forms.
The Pentagon also released a blockbuster of 1,574 pages of real-life X-Files in 2022, related to its secretive UFO program.
The haul includes reports into research on the biological effects of UFO sightings on humans, sets out categorizations for paranormal experiences, and studies into sci-fi-style tech.

The United States Government launched the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) in 2022 to investigate reports of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
Alleged UFO sightings across the US are not uncommon and have sparked a frenzy of discussion on social media platforms.
Earlier this month, a local television station caught an unusual-looking blue orb-shaped circle on camera.
The object appeared to be zooming over the Hudson River and past Lower Manhattan, sparking mystery.
The footage raised eyebrows when the orb seemed to move faster than anything else in the picture.
It prompted social media users to share their theories, and physician Avi Loeb also offered his expertise.
He told The New York Post that the so-called orb was most likely an “optical artifact” from the helicopter glass in front of the camera.
Alleged UFO sightings are being probed by the federal government’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).
ALLEGED SIGHTINGS
A department report claimed a cylindrical UFO was apparently involved in a near-miss with a passenger jet.
The alleged incident apparently occurred off the coast of New York, but it wasn’t clear when exactly it happened.
Concerns were raised when the dossier revealed that a “possible flight safety issue” had been encountered.
Connecticut police officer Robert Klein claimed he saw an orb the size of a Mini Cooper near his vehicle on a shift in 2022.
“This was something I’ve never come across before,” he told NewsNation as he recalled the alleged sighting.
He said the orb changed colors, and he was blinded by it.
Lawmakers are continuing to probe the origins of the mysterious orbs, and former defense personnel and ex-NASA officials have offered testimony in a bid to crack the riddle once and for all.
The federal government has long been accused of covering up the issue of UFOs.
Lue Elizondo, who testified, described the issue of unidentified aerial phenomena as an enigma.
Experts have told The U.S. Sun they are optimistic that more light will be shed on the mystery when Donald Trump is inaugurated.
Nick Pope, who probed the issue for the British Government, speculated the tycoon could push for full disclosure.
