Strictly Come Dancing fans have accused the judges of putting the wrong couple through to next week as the spoiler for week 7 has been revealed.
TV viewers must patiently wait until the Sunday night results show on BBC One to confirm who has been eliminated each week, but for those who can’t handle the suspense a spoiler is always leaked early online.
The Strictly Spoiler account on X (formerly Twitter) releases the result of the dance-off online every week, usually mere hours after the live show finished.
But this week, eager fans were left frustrated by a long wait for the announcement to be made as the account said it had “no mole this week”.
Account holder @davejthorp confirmed in a tweet at around midnight that the result would be delayed and that “other reliable sources seem to be struggling too”.
In an update this morning, he wrote: “It’s already the most viewed #StrictlySpoiler of this series and it’s not even out yet.
“Still no news but I’m hoping my source will come through in the next few hours. In the meantime don’t believe everything you read on X. It gets flooded with fake spoilers.”
Fans were quick to take to social media to speculate which couple have been given the chop, with various rumours circulating online.
One ‘spoiler’ suggested one of the bookies’ favourites has been ousted, with some suggesting tonight’s show will see a “shock exit” with one of the higher scoring couples potentially being eliminated.
Now, the result of the dance-off has finally been leaked by The Strictly Spoiler and fans are not happy with the decision.
The statement from The Strictly Spoiler read: “The Halloween Party is over! Now just 2 weeks separate our remaining 9 couples from needing to pack their bucket and spade ready to freeze in the Vegas of the North. But there’s of course two more dance offs to survive.
“The BBC might want you to wait to learn the results of the latest dance off, and whilst I’ve come through a bit later than normal due to a lack of moles this week a lack of moles never stops me and I don’t mind telling you that…..”
YorkshireLive has chosen not to name the dancer who will not be returning to the dancefloor but many have taken to social media to complain the wrong person has been sent home.
Unhappy viewers said they were “gutted” at the news, with many making “fix” claims and accusing the judges of keeping a couple in the competition just “for Blackpool”.
We have omitted names of the dancers below to avoid the results being spoiled.
@annoyingCD wrote: “Of course they were going to save X. All for Blackpool. Unfortunately, it was expected. The production clearly wanted X to be eliminated. It’s a shame because even with X condition, X was improving every week, and I don’t think X should have gone to the dance-off.”
@kjmiller298 said: “Definitely want X at Blackpool, what slow dance will X next week?”
@bosdovja92 fumed: “Sorry, wrong decision completely. The person they’ve sent home had a lot of potential to keep getting better, and their scores have been consistently climbing since week 1. The one they kept is great but not getting any better.”
@sleepyjaffa added: “They really do want X at Blackpool, don’t they…”
@chubbers1 wrote: “Seems to me the judges are desperate for X and X to be in the final.”
@Carolblount13 said: “X should of stayed, they just want X at Blackpool.”
@Helen5059 added: “Not watching anymore! Absolutely ridiculous that X voted off before X!!! Fixed BBC shame on you!!!”
