SUELLA Braverman lands in Washington ahead of Donald Trump’s presidental inauguration — in a Make America Great Again cap.
The ex-Home Secretary smiled as she breezed through the airport in DC with actor-turned-right-wing commentator Laurence Fox and her husband Rael.
She wore the Trump campaign cap, inset, in the airport after her flight, and told reporters she was looking forward to attending the rally.
Speaking to broadcasters, Ms Braverman said: “It’s an honour to be here and I’m grateful for the invitation to the inauguration.”
Tory MP Ms Braverman was later pictured with Nigel Farage, whose Reform UK party she has refused to rule out joining.
Suella left her role as Home Secretary for a second time in November 2023.
The news came after the former Attorney General sparked outrage over her comments regarding pro-Palestine protesters marching on Armistice Day.
The politician was elected as the Tory MP for Fareham, Hampshire, in May 2015.
She was then re-elected in 2017 and 2019.
Braverman was born Sue-Ellen Cassiana Fernandes on April 3, 1980, to a Kenyan mother and Mauritian father.
She was born in Harrow and grew up in Wembley.
She studied law at Queens’ College, Cambridge, and completed a Master’s in European and French law at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
During her undergraduate studies, Braverman was President of the Cambridge University Conservative Association.
She qualified as an attorney in New York state after sitting the NY Bar exams.
She states on her website that she is a Conservative due to the party’s belief that what truly matters is not where you begin, but rather where you are headed.
Braverman first became Home Secretary in September 2022, when then-Prime Minster Liz Truss brought her in to replace Priti Patel.
