‘Screaming Banshee’ Suffolk Law Grad, Stinks of Liquor, Mows Down Victim, Calls Cop ‘F***ing Idiot’

Lauren Mullins, an aspiring lawyer, was driving home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, after a night of drinking just after 1 a.m. As she approached a red light, she failed to brake and collided with a moped driven by 73-year-old Daniel O’Neil, propelling it into a police car.

Daniel O’Neil suffered serious injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital. When the authorities arrived, they found Mullins to be highly intoxicated and confrontational. She, a Suffolk University law student, faced charges of driving under the influence, causing severe bodily harm, and reckless driving.

Despite Mullins’ uncooperative demeanor, the police were unable to administer a standard sobriety test. However, they observed her slurred speech and significant lack of balance. Mullins, aged 32, has a documented history of alcohol-related offenses dating back to 2014. Over the past three years, she has been arrested seven times for various infractions, including disorderly conduct and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

O’Neil initially survives, but later succumbs to his injuries. Mullins now faces a motor vehicle homicide charge.
