Surprising statements from Danny Jones about his relationship with wife Georgia exposed – shortly before a reported incident with Maura Higgins at a BRITs afterparty

McFly star Danny Jones made a shock comment about the state of his marriage to wife Georgia just days before he was spotted kissing Maura Higgins.  

During the Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty, Love Island personality Maura, aged 34, was spotted engaging in a “drunken kiss” with 38-year-old Danny. It is worth noting that Danny is married to Georgia, his wife of over ten years.

Photos capturing the moment show Maura and Danny exchanging pecks at the event held at 180 The Strand. According to MailOnline, the duo spent the rest of the evening together in a cozy booth.

A video that surfaced on The Sun portrayed Maura and Danny getting affectionate at the venue where they were earlier seen sharing a table with their fellow I’m A Celeb co-star Oti Mabuse.

After the video was widely shared online, comments Danny has made in a recent interview resurfaced – where he joked about ‘leaving’ Georgia.

Speaking with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast, Danny revealed to them he had moved house whilst on I’m A Celeb.

Danny said of his recent stressful house move: ‘Are you renovating? Same mate. It’s a nightmare isn’t it?’ as Rob joked: ‘Is that why you went in the jungle to get money for the renovations?’

Danny has been married to wife Georgia since 2014 and the pair share seven-year-old son Cooper 

Josh then chimed in to say: ‘To get away with it. Have my kitchen done – three weeks in the jungle.’ 

Rob then quipped that ‘you’re honest when they go – why are you here? I’ve got a massive tax bill and she’s left me. That’s why I’m here. Give me the kangaroo d*** and let’s get this done.’ 

Danny then said: ‘Do you know what? I left my wife to move,’ before quipping: ‘I just left my wife,’ as all three of them laughed. 

Rob called it an ‘awkward exclusive’ before Josh said: ‘What an exclusive.’ 

Danny then explained: ‘I left my wife to move house so I’m surprised she’s still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself.’

Danny has been married to wife Georgia since 2014 and the pair share seven-year-old son Cooper.

I’m A Celebrity co-stars Maura and Danny sat at different tables for the actual ceremony which was held earlier in the night at the 02 Arena. 

At the BRITs ceremony Maura was sat at the same table with Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, with only one table in between her and ex Pete, but the pair didn’t go near one another. 

While Danny was a few tables away with McFly star Tom.

After the two were pictured pecking at the bash hosted at 180 The Strand, MailOnline revealed that the two spent the evening together in a cosy booth (seen)

Danny’s wife Georgia made no mention of her husband in the latest episode of her podcast on Monday, released just hours after his kiss with Maura.

Georgia stayed silent on the controversy during her podcast Mum’s The Word with Kelsey Parker, which covered importance of being present and living in the moment, opening up about spending time with their children.

However, Georgia kept her comments strictly surrounding her and Danny’s six-year-old son Cooper, giving her husband no mention at all – despite the fact it was more than likely pre-recorded. 

She chatted about parenting, made reference to their recent house move and even detailed their flight to Australia, which had been to see Danny while he was in the I’m A Celebrity jungle – but omitted any acknowledgment of the singer. 

Georgia, 38, held the fort at home while the McFly star jetted out to Australia in November to compete in I’m A Celebrity at the end of last year – where he was crowned King of the Jungle.

Last month Georgia revealed she had headed on a solo rural cabin retreat without the singer to recover from burnout.

After the BRITs afterparty Maura headed home alone in a taxi and put on a very leggy display in a black and white lace jumpsuit

In a candid post, Georgia has revealed that the pressures of solo parenting and moving house on her own during that time resulted in her feeling burnt out.

‘Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!’ she wrote.

So heading into the New Year, Georgia revealed she needed to ‘do something for me’ and booked a wholesome woodland retreat with cabin company Unyoked. 

Georgia took herself to snowy Shropshire where she stayed in a cabin and chopped wood, built a fire, enjoyed some reading time and soaked up nature.
