Investigators have identified a suspect in the stabbing death this week of a CalFire fire captain at her home in Ramona.
Yolanda Marodi, 53, also known as Yolanda Olejniczak, is being sought by the San Diego Sheriff’s Office for the killing of 49-year-old Rebecca Marodi on Tuesday.
Olejniczak is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and 166 pounds with brown hair. Her current location is unknown.
As reported by KESQ, the couple had been married for approximately two years, and investigators are exploring the possibility of domestic violence as a motive.
Court records show that Olenjniczak was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 2003 and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
It’s not clear who called 911 after the attack. CrimeOnline previously reported that Marodi lived at the home in Ramona with her mother.
