At 43 years old, the reality TV personality disclosed her struggle with severe headaches, which eventually resulted in her being hospitalized and diagnosed with the condition.
After undergoing a CT scan and MRI, doctors found several tumors on her brain that have likely been growing for at least six months.
Following the discovery, Mellencamp had to undergo immediate surgery to eliminate two of the larger tumors. She acknowledged the support from her family and healthcare providers as she gears up for further medical interventions. The smaller tumors are scheduled to be addressed through radiation therapy in the future.
