A 15-year-old Tennessee boy has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of another teen outside a Nashville nightclub earlier this month.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said Yariel Sandoval was arrested Wednesday night in Clarksville.
The shooting occurred on December 1 outside a late-night establishment on Murfreesboro Pike. A victim named Ashley Dominguez was struck by bullets while seated in the vehicle’s rear. Two additional 19-year-old females sustained injuries, while two other individuals inside the car were luckily unharmed.
Dominguez was taken to Vanderbilt University Hospital, where she died. The two wounded women were treated and released.
According to eyewitnesses, a tense exchange preceded the outbreak of gunfire. Authorities stated that footage of the incident assisted in pinpointing the suspect, Sandoval. It has been hinted that additional arrests could be made in connection to the incident in the near future.
Investigators have not said what prompted the argument or the shooting.
