Terror suspect Daniel Khalife, who escaped Wandsworth Prison earlier this week, has been found.
Police searching for Khalife – who is due to stand trial in November charged with a number of terror offences – have arrested him in the Chiswick area of London. He had been missing since September 6 and is now in police custody after being captured just before 11am on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police posted on its Twitter page: “Metropolitan Police officers have arrested Daniel Khalife who escaped from HMP Wandsworth on 6 Sep.

Khalife is due to stand trial in November as it is alleged that between May 2019 and January 2022, Khalife “obtained, collected, recorded, published or communicated to any other person articles, notes, documents or information which were calculated to be or might be or were intended to be directly or indirectly useful to an enemy.”
A court has also previously heard that Khalife “elicited information about individuals who are members of His Majesty’s forces.”

This allegedly relates to him “obtaining personal information from the MoD Joint Personnel Administration system of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.” It is also alleged that he perpetrated a bomb hoax.
He denies all of the offences.
