Suspect in Fatal Mass Shooting at Ohio Warehouse Caught After 12-Hour Manhunt

An hours-long manhunt ended Wednesday morning with the arrest of a man suspected of opening fire at an Ohio warehouse, killing two people and wounding four others.

Bruce Reginald Foster III, 28, was an employee at the KDC/One facility in New Albany, which manufactures beauty and personal care products, WLWT reported.

New Albany police said they were called to the scene at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night and found six people shot, one pronounced dead on the scene. They quickly identified Foster as the suspect and launched a search for him. A handgun was recovered at the scene.

About 150 people were evacuated from the building during the hunt. Foster was found while police executed a search warrant at a home in Columbus, about 15 miles away from New Albany.

“With the help of U.S. Marshalls and ATF, New Albany Police officers found and apprehended the suspect within 12 hours,” police said. “He resisted and officers had to use non-lethal force to arrest him.”

After Foster’s arrest, police announced that one of the wounded victims had died at the hospital. The conditions of the four survivors was not known.

New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones said that Foster had been at work for “some time” before he opened fire. Police believe the shooting was targeted but said there was no altercation that preceded it.

No other information has been provided about the vicitms of the shooting.

Foster has been charged with aggravated murder, the Columbus Dispatch reported.
