Police in Texas are searching for an alleged sexual predator who has been linked to two assaults in two days.
According to WFAA, two women in Dallas were reportedly assaulted by a suspect described as a Latino male in his 20s. The suspect is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds. During both assaults, he was wearing a black ski mask, black pants, and black Nike shoes with a white swoosh logo, as per the police.
The first incident took place on Friday near 9700 Dale Crest Drive, where the suspect entered a woman’s apartment through a window while she was asleep and assaulted her. The following day, another assault occurred near the 8800 block of Fair Oaks Crossing, believed to have been perpetrated by the same man in another woman’s apartment.
Two women near the area commented on the incidents.
Sunnie Green, a resident in the vicinity of the assaults, expressed her intentions to be more vigilant and cautious following the incidents. She mentioned being more alert and observant of any suspicious activities in the area.
“You don’t really hear about that kind of stuff. You just worry about yourself and your life. It’s concerning for the kids because they usually come out and play outside,” said another resident, Vanessa Terrones.
Police and women’s support groups have warned the public to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information regarding either offense should contact the Dallas Police Department’s Detective Carlos Cardenas at 214-671-3683, [email protected], or call 911.
“Crime Stoppers can be reached at 214-373-TIPS, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday,” Dallas Police Department posted on social media.
