The wildly different McDonald's menus around the world - from teriyaki burgers to paneer wraps and poutine

Around the world, McDonald’s is a staple for anyone in need of a quick meal on the go.

But although the fast-food chain might look the same from the outside, the menu offerings from London to Tokyo and Sydney couldn’t be more varied.

In the UK, customers have the option to choose from a variety of chicken or beef burgers, alongside chicken wraps, their popular French fries, and an ever-changing lineup of McFlurry flavors.

In Canada, on the other hand, diners can indulge in steaming plates of poutine or opt for ‘McPops’ – bite-sized, filled powdered doughnuts available in various flavors.

Meanwhile, in India, the menu features items that draw inspiration from local cuisine. This includes an array of paneer-based burgers and wraps, as well as sandwiches with potato patties inspired by the ‘Aloo’ flavor.

Those visiting Egypt could test out the McFalafel – a decadent wrap with falafel, salad and tahini in a toasted tortilla – or try a twist on the traditional apple pie, a strawberry custard pie.

McDonald’s in Thailand even serves some dishes with rice, offering a sweet and spicy Kaprao Crispy Chicken meal, which can be topped off with a fried egg.

Here, FEMAIL takes a look at the menu items you won’t find at your local…
