Who was Xaviar Babudar aka ChiefsAholic?

At 30 years old, Xaviar Babudar has gained a significant fan base due to his unwavering loyalty to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Before his arrest, he was known for wearing a wolf costume adorned with a variety of Chiefs merchandise.

Babudar would often be seen waving a Kansas City flag too.

What happened to the Kansas City superfan and bank robber?

Xaviar Babudar was exposed as a serial bank robber.

It turned out he committed a series of heists across the Midwest.

He is known to have robbed, or attempted to rob, 11 banks in nearly 20 years.

US attorney Teresa Moore said in court that he was funding his expensive superfan lifestyle with the money stolen from these heists.

This came to a total of $847,725.

During his armed robberies, Babudar threatened bank staff with violence if they did not comply with his demands.

On December 16, 2022, he was caught robbing the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union in Bixby, Oklahoma.

After being released on bond in February 2023, he cut off his ankle monitor and fled the state using gambling winnings to fund his getaway.

He was arrested for a second time in Sacramento on July 7, 2023.

How long was Babudar sentenced to in jail?

Babudar entered a plea deal in February 2023.

He admitted to stealing more than $800,000 in 11 bank robberies across seven states and laundering the stolen money at casinos.

For his crimes, Babudar was sentenced to 17-and-a-half years in prison without parole.

He is required to pay $532,455 in restitution and property gained as a result of his crimes.

Babudar is currently awaiting sentencing at Leavenworth federal prison.

He has requested to be housed at the Greenville federal penitentiary in Illinois.
