Despite not having the best time on the set (to put it lightly) Ben Affleck still wanted a few memories from “Justice League,” which ended up costing him dearly. The dad of three revealed all on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in 2017, ‘fessing up to having some pretty stick fingers. “There was some other stuff that fell off the truck, like the Batarangs and stuff,” Affleck confessed, after he told Stephen Colbert he sadly didn’t get to take home the famous Batmobile. “I kept getting these phone calls from the prop department, like, ‘You sure you haven’t found any of that stuff yet?'” he added, confirmed he did steal a few props from the set before joking, “You can’t exactly have been stealing if you got billed for it, which is what happened to me at the end. Warner Bros. just sent me a check. Turns out Batarangs aren’t cheap!”
In case you’re not familiar, a Batarang is a boomerang in the shape of Batman’s iconic logo — and it’s not all too surprising that the prop department couldn’t let Affleck nab one for free. Batarangs are clearly pretty valuable, as there’s one listed on Celebrity Authentics signed by Affleck that has an asking price of $959.99.
Not that paying out for a few props would have been too much of a stretch for this star, of course. Affleck has an eye-watering net worth of a huge $150 million.
