A man shot three boys, leaving one in the ICU, after they allegedly tried to rob him in Houston, police say.
Just after midnight on Thursday, four boys reportedly attempted to rob a 25-year-old man at the Willow Plaza Apartments in northwest Harris County, Texas, according to ABC13. The man shot at the group during the robbery attempt, hitting three of the boys.
One of the boys, believed to be 12 years old, was critically injured and is in the ICU after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. The other two, whose injuries are not life-threatening, are aged between 12 and 15.
Authorities report the boys approached the man, pointing guns at him in an attempt to rob him. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the alleged robbery victim is cooperating with the investigation.
The man’s girlfriend told ABC13 that they had just returned from a Christmas party when the incident.
