There are concerns about the relationship status of Tina O’Brien, known for her role in Coronation Street, and her husband Adam Crofts after she posted a photo without her wedding ring on Friday.
And the couple – who wed in 2018 – have certainly had their fair amount of ups and downs in the time that they have been together.
Throughout their marriage, Tina has faced challenges regarding her previous relationship with Ryan Thomas, with whom she was romantically involved for six years until 2009. They also share a daughter named Scarlett.
In addition last year she was reportedly caught up in shocking brawl involving teenage girls outside her £1m house.
The 41-year-old actress, who portrays Sarah Platt on the popular ITV show, shared a glamorous selfie wearing a red mini dress before attending co-star Colson Smith’s farewell party in Manchester. Notably, she was not wearing her wedding ring in the photo.
Taking to Instagram Tina, who shares 10-year-old son Beau with Adam, posed with her bare finger on display, just weeks after jetting off on holiday without him.

And the couple – who wed in 2018 – have certainly had their fair amount of ups and downs in the time that they have been together (seen without ring)Â
A source told The Sun:Â ‘The couple moved house at Christmas and it was a stressful time. They have been on separate holidays and it cemented for them that they want to be on their own’.
‘Everyone is hoping they can work it out but it’s not looking likely.’
MailOnline have contacted Tina and Adam’s reps for comment.Â
Tina shot to fame on Coronation Street in 1999, when she was the same age that Scarlett is now, with her daughter following in her acting footsteps and starring in Waterloo Road.
She shares Scarlett with her ex and fellow Corrie alum Ryan.
The actor, 40, played Jason Grimshaw on the cobbles, with him and Tina being romantically linked both on and off screen.
But when Ryan pulled out all the stops for Scarlett’s 16th birthday in October, Tina was notably absent.
The pair have had a strained relationship since Ryan claimed Tina damaged his Range Rover with a baseball bat in 2022 after a furious late-night row.
It was reported that Ryan had blamed his ex for damage caused to the wing mirror on his car, with a source at the time citing their ‘fractious relationship.’

During their marriage, Tina has navigated an at times difficult relationship with her ex partner Ryan Thomas who she dated for six years until 2009 and who she shares daughter Scarlett with (pictured together in 2007)

And despite their daughter’s milestone birthday, the former couple reportedly opted for separate celebrations.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Scarlett had her party at Barca Bar in Manchester last night.
‘Her dad Ryan was there keeping an eye on things, but mum Tina was nowhere to be seen.
‘Ryan paid for and organised it, but because things are still tense between them Tina gave it a miss – nobody wanted a showdown.’
However another insider shared that Tina had hoped to make an appearance but was held up due to a long day on the Corrie set.
At the time of the alleged car incident a source added that Tina and Ryan hardly speak anymore and the ‘fragile thread’ on which their relationship was hanging has snapped. Â
Former Celebrity Big Brother winner Ryan is said to have taken the car to be repaired the day after the alleged incident.
Tensions between the pair are said to have boiled over after Tina had spent the evening with pals, with the motor’s wing mirror allegedly smashed off and the paintwork scratched.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Ryan and Tina have a fractious relationship. They are not on good terms and that tension boiled over.Â
‘Tina, who was at a pal’s house party, came out into the street to meet him as he drove up. Soon after that his car was damaged with the baseball bat.’Â
They added: ‘It was quite a disturbing incident and Ryan drove away as soon as he could. They’ve not spoken since and Ryan is furious.’
Then in 2023 Tina appeared to reignite her feud with ex Ryan, calling out a ‘narcissistic father’ in a then-deleted Instagram story.
At the time she said that she ‘deeply resonated’ with a quote she shared on her social media profile that referenced a ‘tyrannical narcissistic father’ who is also a ‘bully’ and a ‘cruel lying arrogant person.’
She added alongside the upload on Thursday night, ‘Thankfully not my dad… but a dad that I know very well… deeply resonates.’
Tina’s Instagram story was thought not to be about her husband Adam, who she married in 2018.Â
The quote posted by Tina described a father that is ‘totally entrenched in his grandiose world’ who ‘insists that everyone follows his commands.’
It also said the behaviours of such a man can be ’emotionally damaging to all family members’ and cause ‘lifelong wounds.’
In full it read: ‘The tyrannical narcissistic father is a bully – a cruel, lying, arrogant person.
‘He is a tyrant that is totally entrenched in his grandiose world and insistent that everyone follow his commands.
‘He is emotionally abusive and can cause significant emotional damage to all family members.
‘Unfortunately, his behaviours cause the relationship within a family to be toxic and can cause lifelong wounds.’
Also during her marriage to Adam, last April, Tina was reportedly caught up in shocking brawl involving teenage girls outside her £1m house.
She was seen having her hair pulled and being punched during the fight on March 15 outside her £1 million home in upmarket Bramhall, Greater Manchester.
Tina was trying to defend her home from an unprovoked attack, with neighbours saying rival groups of girls ‘pre-arranged’ the fight outside.Â
In an update afterwards, Police are said to have concluded that the soap star was ‘acting in self-defence.’
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Police have concluded Tina acted in self-defence and hasn’t done anything wrong. Her version has always been she was defending her home and her family, and that appears to have been accepted.’

They added: ‘Tina is also tiny and not an aggressive person so is not the kind to be fighting in the street usually. These girls came to her road and to her house, and that’s the only reason she got involved.Â
‘She thinks they were looking for trouble and — although it was not a good look — in a way she did the right thing.’
MailOnline contacted Tina’s representatives for comment at the time.
The actress ran out of her house as a brawl broke out on her quiet street at around 8pm on Friday, March 15.
At the start of the footage obtained by The Sun, Tina, who was wearing a black and white striped top and pink jogging bottoms, can be seen trying to calm tensions between two female youths.Â
One can be heard saying: ‘You’ve touched my mum.’
Tina can be heard urging one of the girls to release their hold on the other, saying: ‘Let go of her…. stop. Let go of her, I just said stop. Let go of her.’
The footage goes on to show the teenage girls kicking each other, and then Tina who wades in to break up the fight.
The pair are seen wrestling with each other and with Tina, who briefly gets the girl in a headlock.
The girls are seen getting her hair pulled and being punched.
A girl with blonde hair then gets involved shouting ‘who the f*** do you [think you] actually are, touching my mum!’
This then sparks another wrestling match between the two teens, with the Coronation Street star caught in the middle.
The footage then cuts out and when it restarts shows a melee involving the actress and three girls.
A source told The Sun in the days after the brawl: ‘Tina went straight to meet her Corrie bosses this morning.Â
‘She told them she was the victim here, and they have accepted that. They also think the incident has traumatised her so have been very sympathetic.’
The source said the actress, who has also appeared in Waterloo Road and Strictly Come Dancing, had been trying to ‘break things up’.
They said: ‘Watching her on Coronation Street, you wouldn’t think in a million years she’d get involved in something like this, especially in such a public place.’
They added that Tina, who has won Best Actress at the Inside Soap Awards twice, was ‘defending herself’.
‘Tina has been plagued by problems near her house and, on this occasion, came out to try to deal with it,’ the source said.

A source told The Sun this weekend: ‘The couple moved house at Christmas and it was a stressful time. They have been on separate holidays and it cemented for them that they want to be on their own’Â
‘Some girls travelled to her road and were close to her house so she felt she was defending herself and her home.’
A spokesperson for the actress told The Sun at the time: ‘Tina was the victim of an unprovoked incident outside her home which she has reported to the police.’
In addition to the mother-of-two contacting the police, a relative of one of the children is also believed to have got in touch with officers.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said at the time: ‘Officers are investigating reports of an assault in Stockport between 8pm and 9pm on 15 March.’
