KAROLINE Leavitt’s second press briefing has been plagued by audio issues that left viewers calling for someone to be fired.
The White House press secretary, 27, was interrupted by mic feedback as reporters in the briefing room could barely be heard due to the faulty feed.
Some viewers experienced technical difficulties while attempting to watch Leavitt’s reports on President Donald Trump’s upcoming immigration plans and tariff signings for tomorrow.
One X user wrote to Leavitt, “Just an observation, but someone needs to fix the audio issues for your wh press briefings.
“The feedback has happened on both so far and is distracting – other than that, you are doing an amazing job! Keep up the great work!”
Another slammed the broadcaster Rumble for the issues, writing, “Your audio in the press briefing is horrible.
“Also, your first guest media speaker seemed muted.”
A third added, “Someone needs to fire the audio person at the press briefing.”
Leavitt persevered through the botched audio and revealed the first “new media” member to attend a White House press briefing.
At her initial press briefing last week, Leavitt unveiled a new program that would permit podcasters and influencers to attend sessions in the press briefing room, marking a step towards adjusting to the modern media landscape.
On Friday, she said over 10,000 people have applied for press passes through the new program.
“We might have to make this room a little bit bigger,” she joked.
She introduced the Ruthless Podcast host John Ashbrook as the first to sit in the new media seats.
She called the podcast “one of the most influential podcasts in America” after starting four years ago.
She said the Ruthless Podcast recently reached the top of the chart and earned over 25 million downloads.
The Ruthless Podcast has just 8,000 followers on Instagram and 83,000 subscribers on YouTube.
John Ashbrook, who co-hosts the podcast, asked the first question at the briefing.
